This lesson plan redesigning will incorporate the critical thinking and problem solving aspect of the 21st century framework of learning that specifies learning and innovation skills acquisition. The students will be assessed at the end of the lesson and they should be able to identify what the question requires of them and then perform addition and subtraction sums correctly, reason quantitatively and abstractly and make sense of the problems involving the two operations by correctly solving each sum.
