What are the cognitive changes that individuals go through in later adulthood? 3. What are the social changes that individuals go through in later adulthood? IMPORTANT: You cannot simply ask your interviewee the above questions. It is your assignment, as a researcher, to devise questions that will assess the above issues. For example, a question you might ask to get at physical changes is, “What type of sports or physical activities do you like to do? Did you do these when you were younger?” The interview should be a minimum of 15-20 minutes. This interview can be in person OR on telephone (not over email or text). Once you have conducted your interview, you should write up a report that includes the following: 1. A detailed description of the person you interviewed (e.g., age, gender, ethnicity, family situation, work situation, your relation to this person) 2. A list of the questions you used to assess physical, cognitive, and social issues in later adulthood. Be sure to indicate the issue each question addressed. 3. A summary of your interview. You can write out a transcript of the interview or simply summarize your interview. 4. Based on your interview, describe the physical, cognitive, and social changes individuals go through in later adulthood. Use examples from your interview to justify your description. This part should be no more than 3 pages.
