What competencies were you able to develop in researching and writing the Comprehensive Project due in Unit 5? How did you leverage feedback from your peers in the Discussion Board for Units 1–4 in completing the project? How will these competencies and knowledge support your career advancement in management?
One major competency I was able to develop when researching this project was how expansion in the international market affects a corporation. Realizing it takes research, knowledge and understanding of the many risk involved when choosing to expand globally. Currency exchange and the exchange rate risks to name a few. Strategizing and implementing a suitable place in the market for business is very important in how well the business will grow. Lastly, the importance of continuing to look for opportunities to re-evaluate, assess the target market, and position the business for success against the competition.
I leveraged feedback through the discussion board from fellow classmates and Dr. Dague. Different perspectives bring different views and is very helpful in the topics of discussion. It allows me to glean from other viewpoints. Taking constructive criticism is a part of learning and developing, and it can be helpful if you don’t allow it to offend you.
